IDA ICE PUD Hands-on session «CFD»
Abstract
EQUA is about to release the anticipated CFD extension for IDA ICE, and this session will be an introduction to its capabilities.
We’ll begin by presenting the new CFD extension, its key features, and intended applications. You’ll also get a quick walkthrough of the extension’s layout and basic workflow to get you started. Prior to the event, we will provide you with all necessary materials, including installation instructions, licensing, and guidelines, to ensure a seamless experience.
During the hands-on session, you’ll:
- Start with an IDA ICE model prepared for CFD analysis and follow a step-by-step guide to perform one or more CFD simulations.
- Visualize the results and document important conclusions, especially insights gained from flow simulations compared to well-mixed zone simulations.
- Optionally, if you’ve run a stratified zone model simulation of the same zones, you can analyze and discuss the similarities and differences.
The session will conclude with an open discussion on the new features, your experiences, and your ideas for future enhancements, including innovative ways to present results.
