IDA ICE CFD AddOn course

IDA-ICE CFD AddOn course 14^th and 15^th December 2020

Responding the requests, an IDA-ICE CFD course will take place by 14^th and 15th December, at 8:30-11.45. The course is organized online, via Teams and will be given in English.  
Version of 4.8 will be used, with a separate CFD license.

Presenters: Mika Vuolle and Viktoria Nadas.

In the course, the following subjects and topics will be covered: 

• Fluid dynamics background
• Real time room modeling and discussion
  • Several room types and loads
  • Use case examples
• CFD calculations
• Result presentation
• External, large-case visualization
• Live user’s practices
• Q&A

The course aims to give the participants an overall understanding of applied fluid dynamics in building physics, through focused explanation, exercises, and active course participation.
After the course, the user will be able to produce reliable room models to study and evaluate thermal comfort; in addition to improve indoor environment quality design skills.
